One 100 foot section of Five-inch fire hose weighs approximately 105 pounds empty. Cataula Engine 5 carries 1000 feet of this high-volume fire hose and is one of just a few apparatus in the county that carries this unique load. This older Mack firetruck would be a support truck, when large amounts of water are needed during a fire, much like that of an apartment complex like the ones being built in our area.
