Want to become a volunteer firefighter?
We are proud of our volunteers and the hard work they are doing but we always need more hands on deck.
Volunteers are everyday people from our community ages 18 and older from all walks of life. Everyone on the team has a role to play. The more volunteers we have the less falls on each person and the more effective we become as a fire department. All training and equipment is paid for so there’s no financial obligation and there’s a role for everyone to play. Georgia Firefighters who meet the yearly state criteria are able to participate in the Georgia Firefighters Pension Fund. This benefit allows you to retire as a volunteer firefighter and receive a pension from the State of Georgia.
